Avalokiteshvara Lokanatha ist ein Bodhisattva, der im Astasahasrika - Manuskript von Cambridge (A.D. 1643) in 27 Formen mit 2, 4, 6 oder 12 Armen beschrieben wird [1]. In der Rechten hält er zumeist ein Varada und in der Linken einen roten Lotus.
Das Sadhanamala erwähnt Lokanatha als Zerstörer aller Krankheiten(asesaroganasnam).[2]
