Vayu

Vayu mit Antilope (auch Hirsch)

Vayu (Wind, Luft), auch Pavana (Reinigender), ist die vedische Personifizierung bzw. Gottheit des Windes, der Luft und des Prana.

Sein Reittier ist eine Antilope.

Er ist auch als Vāta, Pavana (Wind,Reiniger) und als Prāṇa bekannt.

Prāna, Apāna, Vyāna, Udāna und Samāna werden auch als die 5 Vayu-Gottheiten bezeichnet.
